Absolute Devotion Awaits Your Baby
Shane & Rob Are Hoping To Adopt 1st baby
Family is especially important for both us and we are so lucky to have such a great support system around us. We come from vastly different family backgrounds, Shane growing up in a large family, and Rob in a smaller family. Shane has three sisters, Megan, Tierney, and Kelsey. Between the three of them we have six nieces and nephews ranging from 16 to 2 years old. In addition to Shane’s siblings, he has many aunts, uncles, and cousins that live in the immediate area. We will randomly run into one of his family members daily. All of the family is supportive of our adoption efforts and eagerly awaiting the addition of a new family member. Shane’s family is always having get togethers for birthdays, holiday parties, graduations, or weddings!
We're really close with our families.
Rob has an older sister Michelle who is married and has two boys Parker (8) and Logan (10). They live down in Maryland, so we make it a point to travel down to see them every other month. Both boys are into sports and always up for kicking the soccer ball around or playing some baseball. They keep telling us that they want us to have children so they can pretend to be older brothers.
We intend to provide your child with a solid education so that he or she will have as many opportunities as life can offer. We both have successful careers and work out of our home, which will allow us flexibility to be incredibly involved with your child and his or her activities.
Rob has a bachelor’s degree in economics and works as a financial analyst. After graduation he managed his family business for 14 years before transitioning into a new career. Education is important to us and Rob is currently working on an advanced degree.
Shane worked as an EMT before joining the Air Force Reserves in 2006. Shane’s medical training is a comfort when it comes to your child having any type of medical emergency or even something as simple as the common cold. During his time as a reservist he earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and began working as a project manager. Shane is also working on an advanced degree.
Hi there! We are Rob and Shane.
First, we want to thank you for taking the time to read about us. We are eager to tell you about our lives in the hopes that we can connect with one another – and be considered to be the right family for your child.
Second, even though we have not met yet, we know you must be a courageous person to consider an adoption plan for your child. We admire you for taking this step.
We are a loving, married and childless couple who has built a wonderful life together over the past 6 years, and we hope that what you see here will help you get a clear sense of who we are – and the great parents we believe we’d be. We imagine that choosing the right family for your child must be intimidating and we are grateful for your time. Again, we think you are courageous for starting the process.
After reading about us, please reach out if you have questions, if you would like more information, or if you would like to start talking and getting to know us better. Thanks for your time reading this – we are incredibly grateful.
Our first holiday together was Halloween, which is one of our favorites! We decorate our house with pumpkins, hay, corn stalks, and a few scary skeletons and ghosts. Then we get into our costumes and we meet up with family to go trick or treating. We love seeing all the kids dressed up as for Halloween and how excited they are when they get their favorite candy! We can hardly wait to add your child to this activity with lots of extended family.
We live in a small shore town in New Jersey in a spacious two-story cape cod style home with our two dogs; Lily a 10-year-old miniature schnauzer and Riley who is a 5-year-old dachshund terrier mix. These two little pups are both extremely playful and loving. Our home has been a labor of love for us as we have completely renovated it since we bought it a few years ago. Shane and I both love home projects and working in the yard.
We love our neighborhood, which offers so much in such a small radius. There are schools, parks, the beach, a community center, and great locally owned restaurants all within walking distance. Best of all we have family and friends that live right around the block!
Thanksgiving is one of Shane’s family’s favorites! We attend the Thanksgiving parade with our nieces and nephews where they love to see all the fire trucks, local floats, and best of all Santa! We can’t wait to carry on this tradition with your child. On Thanksgiving Day, his whole family will get together at his Aunts (right down the street from us) and it is a huge celebration from early afternoon to late night. Dinner is served buffet style with an open invitation to not only family members, but friends too! His Aunt Ann cooks the turkey and ham, while the rest of the family brings side dishes. All the nieces, nephews, and cousins are running around the house playing, while the adults are watching football and busy catching up. This is the kickoff to our holiday season! We yearn to watch your little one participate in these festivities.

About Shane (By Rob):
In addition to being devilishly handsome, charming, witty, and smart, Shane is one of the most loyal people you will ever meet. There is a reason so many people want to spend time with him and be around him or ask him for help. He always makes time for people and wants to help them however he can, whether it’s giving work advice, editing a resume or job application, or helping someone figure out a personal or professional problem. He is extremely dedicated to his family, job, and his military career. I have always admired these qualities about him, and it is one of the many reasons I fell in love with him and a huge reason why I think he will be a very loyal, dedicated and dependable father.
Seeing how Shane interacts and cares for our nieces, nephews, and our friend’s children demonstrates how natural and great of a dad he will be. He embodies all of the qualities that will help him be a wonderful dad – a dad a child will know he or she can rely on and feel safe with, and also a dad who will encourage many adventures and to have the confidence to pursue his or her dreams.
About Rob (By Shane):
Rob is the yin to my yang; he keeps me balanced and we work well together as a team. Rob is very personable, intelligent, and especially attractive with gorgeous blue eyes. Although he loves to travel, Rob is a homebody that enjoys taking care of the house and hosting family and friends for informal get togethers. One of the things I am most proud of about Rob is his integrity and the way that he treats other people; everywhere he works he becomes one of the most beloved people in the office, the one everyone comes to when they need help, guidance, and advice.
When it comes to kids, Rob’s caring nature makes him a natural. He loves to spend time with our nieces, nephews, and our friend’s son even refers to him as Uncle Rob. I know that he will be an amazing dad who will always be devoted and make your child his first priority.
Rob’s younger brother Brian lives close by and will join us for Friday night dinners with his dad and stepmom. Rob has two step-brothers, Johnny and Michael who also join in on the Friday night dinners. His step-sister Rachel has two kids, Dominick (6) and Harper (1). They just recently moved back from Virginia which has been great because we can spend more time together. Dominick loves to read and Harper just loves exploring anything she can get her hands on.
Rob is also the godfather to Harper, so she gets spoiled with attention when we visit. One of Rob’s big family traditions is for the past 35 years at Christmas the whole family gets together and attends the play Scrooge at a local theater.
Throughout the year we are usually running around spending time with family and friends. Our friend’s son Jacob loves the water and asks for Uncle Rob and Uncle Shane to come over and go swimming. Jacob also loves to chat on the phone now to tell us about his day or to ask if he can come over to our house to see Lily and Riley. His mom tells us that every dog that passes bye is Lily or Riley according to Jacob. We are also lucky enough to babysit often for them where we play hide and seek, as well as watch his favorite shows like Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, and anything involving his new obsession, car washes.
Our nephews Jack (16), Luke (13), love to spend time fishing with us on the family’s boat. When it comes to our nieces, Kate (8), Mckenna (6), and Emerson (2) they would rather head to the beach where we play in the sand and swim in the ocean for hours. Kate and Mckenna like to have sleep overs where we will make some cookies, watch a movie, and let them stay up just a little past bed time. We also love taking long walks around the neighborhood with the kids and taking them to the park a few blocks away from our house.
Our Promise to you is that we will give your child a lifetime of love and support. We will raise them in a house filled with fun, laughter, adventure, and education. We will travel as a family and give them exposure to this beautiful country, as well as other countries and cultures outside of our own. We promise to have family adventures like visiting the beach, the animals at the aquarium and zoo, fishing along the river, and cooking meals together. We want you to know how grateful we are to you for enabling us to have a family we have both always wanted. Your child will know how brave and loving you are and how grateful we are to you for your sacrifice to make us parents.
We are eager to learn about your dreams and aspiration for your child. We would be happy for you to call or text us at our toll-free number or email so that we may learn more about each other. Feel free to call our lawyer with any questions you may have.
We look forward to getting to know you.
With Love, Rob & Shane
We met in September 2014, when we were introduced to each other by a clown. I doubt that many people can say that! Rob’s Aunt Nancy is a professional clown who often works at the base where Shane is an Air Force reservist. At an event she found out that Shane was single and told him she had the guy for him.
Fast forward a few weeks later and Shane reached out via Facebook and we began chatting over the phone. Our first date was at a local Thai restaurant, then we headed over to the beach to hangout. Next thing we knew five hours had passed by! The next morning, we had our second date and from that day on we’ve only been separated by travel for work or the military. In September of 2015 we got engaged and a year later on September 16, 2016 we were married on the beach.
Both of us have always known that we wanted to be parents. For us we were always pulled towards adoption over surrogacy. The child’s race or ethnicity doesn’t matter to us; we are simply excited to become parents! It is our hope that we will be blessed with a child who will benefit from growing up and being raised by two dads who have always wanted to have a family together, are in a committed, loving relationship and have financial stability.
Since then our life has been full of adventure and fun times! We both love to travel and have been on five cruises since we met. So far, we have been to most of the Caribbean islands and last year we were lucky enough to travel to Greece and Italy. We have a cruise crew that we travel with and they always add to the fun! We look forward to one day sharing our love and joy of travel with a child.
